Reverse Engineering
To complete this assignment, I had to choose any item with six or more parts to take apart and build on a computer software, Inventor. I personally chose a Camelbak water bottle. The main takeaway from this project was problem solving. Not only did I run into a lot of problems with the technology, but I also ran out of time. I had to stay after school and come in early to complete this assignment. This taught me that you have to work really hard to complete a goal.
Final Project
This assignment was the last project all year. We were allowed to create any object or setup that had over ten parts. I chose the golf setup because I enjoy playing golf, and I wanted to combine things that I like with the project to make it more interesting. This project really taught me to be creative. My biggest takeaway from this assignment was the decision making that it required. I had to decide what to build and this took a long time. I also had to make decisions on how elaborate I needed to create my golf setup. I can now calculate better solutions and make better decisions in general.
